Winners + New Giveaway

School is busy, but enough of that. Let's announce some winners!

CherylS22 was the lucky winner of Cleopatra's Daughter by Michelle Moran

KimiKimi was the lucky winner of the Anna Strong Prize Pack

Congratulations and I hope you enjoy the books! I've sent you an email, so please reply back so I can get the book out to you faster.

Wait! Before you go, I have another giveaway to announce.

About a month back, I made a post about a new book that looked really interesting. The book: Salem Brownstone by John Harris Dunning and illustrated by Nikhil Singh

The book does looks lovely, which was why I was pleased to be contacted about a giveaway for this book. Before that, I got to ask John some questions about Salem Brownstone. Check it out!

~-.-~

~Could you provide a summary of what is Salem Brownstone about?~

It's about a young man who wishes for the unexpected and uncanny... and finds it! It's also about staying cool in the face of cosmic evil - and running away with the circus!

~Describe the process in getting Salem Brownstone on paper?~

It has been a long process - the main thing was finding an artist who would walk the long path with me. Nik's incredible artwork brought the story to life in a way no other could have.

~Salem Brownstone is a YA graphic novel, do you feel adults would also enjoy reading this?~

Definitely - I'd say the YA label has really pleased us - but I didn't write it with that in mind. We told a story - and it found a niche. I think it will go beyond that particular demographic though.

~What is your favourite part in the story?~

Hm - that's hard to say. I think maybe the first appearance of Salem's pet familiar Oosik was a revelation - it was exactly as I'd imagined it! I like the fact that the page it appears on is so stark and simple. It really has an impact!

~-.-~

Sounds good, eh? If it sounded good to you, then you can buy the book at Amazon, or you can enter this giveaway.

Here are the rules:

1. Leave a comment with your name and email
2. For an extra entry, let me know how you feel about graphic novels? Have you read one before?
3. Giveaway closes on November 13
4. The giveaway is open to those living in the UK

Good Luck!

Oh, to live in the UK! My kids and I love graphic novels.

But... I don't, so no entry needed. I'm dropping in to say thanks for the e-mail. I've got this posted at Win a Book.
